Commissioned by South Tyneside Council in summer 2023 to attend 5 ‘Welcoming Spaces’ venues across South Tyneside and do observational sketching of what activity I found, to then work up in to full illustrations. The aim of these illustrations are to showcase all the different ways that community members have been using, and benefitting from, the ‘Welcoming Spaces’ scheme, which encourage people gather for free in a friendly, warm place.
