About Josie
Josie is a freelance Illustrator and art facilitator based in Newcastle upon Tyne, North East England, based at Mushroom Works Studios.
She specialises in illustration with a focus on colour experimentation, collage and print making techniques, and live graphic recording at events.
Josie was the Pop up studio Illustrator in Residence for 2019’s Northern Festival of Illustration. Her published work includes children’s books ‘The Flower with Feelings’ and award winning ‘Twinkle Twinkle Arti’.
Josie has worked for clients including NHS, HarperNorth, Unison, TUC, Mslexia Magazine, Keep Britain Tidy and BALTIC.
With over 19 years experience as a participatory arts practitioner, Josie also works both independently and on behalf of organisations, delivering creative workshops in illustration, print, animation and graphic design to groups of all ages and abilities.
