Commissioned by the National Trust through a Glimpse led brief, myself and partner Tom Madge created the design for a carved wood ‘Story Bench’ full of illustrations that reflect stories from the area, touching on the stories collected from local people and their connection to nature and climate change. The Story Bench is located at Souter Lighthouse, South Shields and provides a much-loved addition to the landscape and a place for reflection for many years to come.
